“Martin Hewitt, from the Adaptive Antarctica team has developed a medical issue and the team has taken the difficult decision to stop their journey. Pain in Martin's Achilles tendon has made it impossible to continue safely. The team will be picked up and will return to the logistics base in Antarctica in the next few days, for rest and medical attention. After resting, the team will look at options for completing the South Pole journey. All the sponsors and supporters wish both Louis and Martin the very best, and for a speedy recovery for Martin.
